About the Owner

Hi there! My name is Dena and I’m a theatre kid, dog lover, NYC history nerd and MAJOR foodie. As a licensed guide for 3 years now, I’ve led Midtown Manhattan bus tours, Chinatown/Little Italy and Greenwich Village food tours, and Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island walking tours. I currently also work as a tour director for theatre groups traveling to the city! With expertise in numerous neighborhoods and a love for food, I am ecstatic to welcome you to my little corner of the internet and hopefully see you soon on one of my tours! 

I went to school for theatre and graduated with a BFA in Acting and minor in Musical Theatre in 2020. With my performance background, I love meeting and entertaining people. I began my career as a tour guide singing and doing improv on a tour bus called The Ride, which led me to discover my love for NYC history. From there, I went on to get my Sightseeing Guide License and started to work as a freelance tour guide for different companies in the city. I've always loved exploring the city and trying new places to eat (which I document on my Food Instagram @dena.devours.nyc). 3 years in, I found I love curating my own tours and thus Feast by the Foot LLC was born!

I've always had a special enthusiasm for seasonal items, ya know the pumpkin in the fall and citrus in the spring—the monthly and holiday specials, rotating menus and limited edition foods that aren't here for a long time but most definitely are for a good time. I realized that these are things I'm always excited to try and I follow all the cafes and restaurants that continue to deliver consistent deliciousness on this front. I wanted to create a tour that focuses on constant new creations, from tried and true inventive bakers and curious chefs. The ones who keep on giving. This is how my first Feast by the Foot tour, Seasonal SoHo, began! From there, I continue to develop tours by asking these questions: 'What do I love to eat?' and 'what type of tour isn't out there yet?'
